Rear Power Window Switch

Hi Guys, I have a spare front console switch pack that I thought I could remove a couple of the illuminated switches from and install in the rear doors. It seems strange that the rear switches aren't illuminated?? Anyway, after having a look at the Haynes manual wiring diagram and not understanding the wiring diagram, I was wondering if: 1) If I carefully remove the switches from the switch pack will I be able to install them in the rear doors? 2) Do I have to run a separate power source to provide power to the bulbs or is that already there? 3) Is there any other stand alone genuine Volvo power window switch that I could use instead? Looking forward to your replies.

If the switch console is the same as in the V70 then you won't be able to do this as they are not individual switches. The buttons make contact with brass strips that have the LEDs soldered to them. There was a recent post (can't seem to find it now ) where someone removed the driver switch console and cleaned the contacts, and this had a nice set of pictures showing whats inside it. Malc
